What is the Recovery Time for Butt Implants?
You can expect some bruising and swelling after your procedure. It may also be uncomfortable to sit after butt implant surgery, so you must use a pillow when sitting for the first two weeks of recovery. Any discomfort can be managed with prescribed pain medicine, which should be filled before your scheduled operation.
Dr. Mendieta suggests to his patient that they add Exparel to their procedure for pain. Exparel reduces pain during and after surgery up to 80%. However, this will be an added cost and the injection can only be administered during the procedure.
Depending on the physical demands of the job, most patients may go back to work two to three weeks after surgery. Patients are also required to wear a supportive compression garment for two to three weeks.
When Can I Exercise After Getting My Butt Implants?
It is recommended to refrain from exercising for at least eight weeks after surgery to avoid complications. Dr. Mendieta will provide you with detailed postoperative instructions during your butt implant surgery consultation.
When Will I See My Butt Implant Results?
You should be able to see a noticeable improvement in the size and shape of your buttocks immediately following butt implant surgery. However, it takes between three and four months for the swelling to resolve and reveal the final results. The effects of butt implant surgery are considered permanent when performed by a surgeon who is experienced in the procedure. Over time, an enhanced butt is susceptible to the natural aging process. Butt implants do not need to be replaced unless there is a complication.
