Dimple Surgery Procedure
Dimple surgery is a quick procedure that can be performed using local anesthesia to minimize the side effects and risks associated with general anesthesia. Once the treatment area is numbed, Dr. Mendieta creates a small incision in the cheek beneath the target area inside the mouth. The overlying skin is then stitched with an absorbable suture to form a dimple.

Recovery
Individuals who undergo dimple surgery do not need to remain in repose after their procedure. Patients can go home and continue their daily activities immediately after they leave the facility.
Minor swelling can be expected, but this should diminish quickly. Any discomfort can be reduced with over-the-counter pain medication. Some patients prefer to take two days off of work to heal comfortably.
Exercise
Most exercises can be resumed following surgery, but patients may be advised to avoid strenuous activities for 24 to 48 hours.
