Ideal candidates for male liposuction must be in good overall health and have realistic expectations. You will also be asked to stop smoking for at least two weeks before and after your surgery. Male Liposuction Procedure
Male liposuction is performed on an outpatient basis and can take one hour to complete (depending on the amount of fat being removed). During your procedure, a small incision will be placed in the treatment site. And excess fatty tissue is removed using a thin metal tube (also known as a cannula). Once the fat has been removed, Dr. Mendieta will reshape your body to produce a more toned figure. The incisions are then closed using sutures.

Combination Techniques
Male liposuction can be performed alongside other body contouring procedures like abdominal etching to enhance your overall results.

Recovery
Following your male liposuction, you will be asked to wear a compression garment for two weeks or until your wounds are fully healed. Swelling and bruising will occur but should resolve within three weeks.
Patients who choose to add Exparel injections typically experience 80% less surgical pain (during and after surgery). This is an additional cost, but will make recovery easier. And Exparel must be administered during the procedure.
Exercise
You will need to refrain from all physical activities for at least two weeks unless instructed otherwise by Dr. Mendieta.

Male liposuction provides long-lasting results that will leave your body looking toned and slim. Final results will become apparent a few weeks after your surgery. However, this procedure is not intended for permanent or major weight loss. Be sure to stick to a proper diet and exercise routine to maintain your results.
